Versailles among the leaders in post season play

The OHSAA football playoffs gets underway this Friday night with
Division II, III and V teams in action as the Divisions I, IV and VI
teams will play on Saturday.
The obvious goal to make it to the state finals at either Canton’s
Fawcett Stadium, and Massillon’s Paul Brown Tiger Stadium as state
champions will be determined on Dec. 2-3.
The Versailles Tigers are no strangers to post season play and
currently rank 6th with 43 post-season victories and is tied for fifth
with six state titles. Newark Catholic leads the state in overall
playoff wins 62, while Cleveland St. Ignatius holds the record for most
state titles 10.
