There’s
keen interest in the
University of Nebraska’s arrival in the Big Ten Conference judging from
ticket
prices to football games this season.
Of
the 25 highest average ticket
prices for college games charted by electronic marketplace TicketCity , six
are for games Nebraska is scheduled
to play against Big Ten opponents in the former Big 12 Conference
school’s
first season in the conference.
The
most expensive ticket among those
six games belongs to the Ohio State
contest Oct. 8 in Lincoln, Neb. That ticket is
averaging $364 on the
secondary market, the TicketCity report found. The cheapest is $170 for
the
Nebraska-Minnesota game Oct. 22 in Minneapolis.

Using
ticket prices as a gauge, the
Buckeyes-Cornhuskers game is drawing richer interest than the Ohio
State-Michigan rivalry game to be played in Ann Arbor the Saturday
after
Thanksgiving. The average price for that game on the secondary market
is $268,
said TicketCity.
The
Austin, Texas, company’s list of
top 25 tickets can be found here. Topping the list is the Texas-Texas
A&M
rivalry game with the average ticket price at $426.
