Girls Varsity Bowlers Now 5-0
The last 3 matches for the Versailles Varsity Girls were against
Ansonia, New Bremen and Lima Central Catholic. Versailles beat Ansonia
766-547 and 712-617. Baker Games scores were 153-125, 143-116, 175-89,
147-115 and 176-94. Versailles won the match 2,272 to 1,703. Leading
scores for the Tigers were Danielle Cochran with a 168 and Brooke
Wehrkamp with a 167.
The Lady Tigers then took on the Cardinals of New Bremen. Versailles
won the 1st two regular games 793-600 and 668-601. All of the Baker
Games also went to Versailles, 142-125, 153-141, 138-119, 147-98 and
138-89. Leading scorers for Versailles were Brooke Wehrkamp with a 190
and Danielle Cochran with a 183.
On December 22nd, Versailles was up against Lima Central Catholic. The
Tigers were able to cruise past the 3rd opponent in a row. 805-559,
774-620 and in the Baker Games 161-101, 193-106, 155-131, 142-118 and
145-127. The final score was Versailles 2,375 to Lima Central
Catholic’s 1,762. Megan Monnin and Brooke Wehrkamp were leading scorers
with and 192 and 188.
This Thursday will be the toughest match of the year against the
Wapakoneta Redskins which will be held at Northland Lanes in Lima.
