splits double duel
Wave now 9-3 on season
GREENVILLE- With three teams and Greenville hitting the wrestling mats
Tuesday, the Wave wrestlers squared off with Tipp City and Coldwater in
a double duel.
Against the Red Devils, Greenville scored a 48-33 victory. In the
match, Greenville recorded five pins while Tipp surrendered 18 points
by forfeit while the Wave gave back six of those points in the 285
pound class.
The Wave didn't fare as well against Coldwater, dropping a 46-36
contest.
Greenville freshman Willial Neibert scored two more pins on the year to
help lead the Greenville cause.
Also on the night, Brookville beat Tipp City, 52-42, while Coldwater
pinned Brookville, 63-18, to finish the night 2-0.
The Wave, 9-3 in duels, will host a reserve tournament Saturday
starting at 9:30.
The varsity wrestlers will next see action on December 29 in the Tipp
City Invitational.
