February 1, 2012
The
Versailles Boys Varsity Bowling team moved on to Week 13 action against
the
Minster Wildcats at McBo’s Lanes on Saturday, January 28. Versailles won the match
by 590 pins with
2899 total pins to Minster’s 2309.
“The last 2
weeks of the season against St. Marys and Wapak are going to be tough
matches,
but we cannot overlook Minster today. Let’s bring it today on our home
lanes.”
Although
Minster’s team average for the season is 706, they came out on fire
rolling a
fine 849. Versailles was a little down, but managed to grind out a 914
the
first game to start with the lead. The correct adjustments were made by
the
Tigers as they came back strong with a 994 to Minster’s 732. The Tigers headed into the
baker games with a
327-pin lead over the Wildcats and won all five baker games with scores
of 194
to 169, 188 to 147, 184 to 143, 213 to 160, and 212 to 109. Versailles was led by Kyle
Bohman and Michael
Davidson, both rolling a 236, Jordan Groff with a 214, and Brandon
Groff with a
209. With two
matches remaining in the
season, this victory over the Wildcats brings the Tigers’ record to
13-0.
