SPRINGFIELD – The Greenville Lady Wave softball team rolled to a 5-1
record Thursday with a 5-1 victory over Springfield.
The Lady Wave pounded out 13 hits and scored three times in the opening
inning.
After the Wildcats scored in the bottom of the first, Greenville added
runs in the fifth and sixth to round out the scoring.
Ashley Hanes did the work on the mound for Greenville getting the win.
Erin Albright had a homerun for the Wave while Paige Wolter had four
hits in four trips to the plate.
Greenville will host Celina and West Liberty Salem today starting at
noon in a triple header.
The Wave will play Celina, then the Lady Bulldogs will battle the WLS
Tigers before the Wave and Tigers conclude the days action.
