gearing up for volleyball sectionals
The OHSAA volleyball pairings were decided Sunday and the Greenville
Lady Wave will get their sectional action started Saturday at Tecumseh
at noon against the Greenon Rams. The Wave was 8-10 got a nine seed at
the time of the draw while the Rams were 9-11 overall and seeded 10th.
In the D-II sectionals, the 16-3 Versailles Tigers took a first round
bye and will play the winner of the Milton-Union/Dixie game on Saturday
at Brookville.
Also on Saturday at Brookville, Arcanum (12-6) will play the Anna
Rockets (12-8) in a 12:30 start.
Ansonia, Franklin Monroe, tri-Village and Bradford will all play in the
Piqua sectional.
Ansonia too a bye in the opening round and will play the winner of
Lehman Catholic and Houston on Monday, October 16 at 6:00. Franklin
Monroe will also play that Monday night at 7:30 as the Jets will square
off against the Cardinals of Triad.
On the following Tuesday, Tri-Village will look to advance against
Covington in a 7:30 start.
Bradford will play Jackson Center on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Mississinawa Valley will battle Yellow Springs in the Tipp City
sectional starting at 7:30 on Monday.
