NCAA First Four
games in Dayton sell out

Tickets for the 2013 NCAA First Four games in Dayton have sold out,
which could provide momentum as the community works to land the event
on a long-term basis.
The First Four Local Organizing Committee announced Friday it has
secured enough early commitments to declare the two-day event a sell
out. This would be the first sellout since the First Four — and before
it, the Opening Round — became part of the NCAA Tournament format.
Next year’s event marks the 13th consecutive year that March Madness
has kicked off at the University of Dayton Arena. The arena has played
host to more NCAA men’s basketball tournament games than any other site
in the country.
In just its third year under the current format, the First Four in
Dayton has carved out a place in basketball history.
In 2011, tournament Cinderella VCU’s journey started with a win in
Dayton before going to the Final four. Last year, President Barack
Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron became the first heads
of state to attend an NCAA tournament game when they joined fans at UD
Arena for an opening-night game…
