Versailles rolls over FM

VERSAILLES- The Versailles Tigers took advantage of virtually everything given to them by Franklin Monroe in routing the Jets 16-1 in five innings.

The Tigers batted around twice in the fourth, collecting nine hits and taking six walks in a 13 run inning, blowing the game wide open.

Versailles picked up a dozen hits in the game with Nick Moorman and Mike Davidson getting two hits each.

With the Tigers getting 12 hits, FM pitching allowed 12 walks in the process.

The Jets could muster only two hits on the night.

Versailles will travel to Miami East tonight while the Jets will play at Russia on Saturday in a twin bill.
 
Hawks take it to Ansonia

UNION CITY- Mississinawa Valley scored 10 runs in the opening inning to post a 14-4 victory over Ansonia Tuesday.

The Tigers got the first run of the game in the first but the Hawks plated 10 in the bottom half of the frame.

Ansonia had nine hits and two errors in the game. Mississinawa Valley had 14 hits and two errors.

Ansonia's Cody Burnfield had a double and an RBI. Kaleb Earick and Darien Burk also had an RBI each.

For the Blackhawks, Trent Gilbert and Tyler Jenkinson had doubles while Carson Stump had a triple. Gilbert had two RBI while Jenkinson, Stump, Tyler Connor, Dakota Hines, Mason Roark, Cayden Cox and Dalton Rinderle all had one RBI each.

Ansonia will host Russia Friday.
 
Greenville falls to Marion Local

GREENVILLE- The Marion Local Flyers rolled into Greenville Monday and rolled out a 11-4 winner over the Wave.

The Wave made eight errors on the night that would lead to the demise of the Wave.

At the end of the first inning, Greenville trailed 4-2. With two innings in the books, the Wave were looking at a 7-2 deficit and would never recover.

The loss left the Wave with a 2-1 record.

Greenville played Wapakoneta Tuesday, falling 11-1 on the road to even its record at 2-2.

Greenville will play tonight at Twin Valley South.
