Dragons single-game playoff tickets on sale
The Dayton Dragons today announced that single-game playoff tickets
will be made available for purchase by the general public. “We wanted
to reward the very best fans in all of sports with a great offer for
the playoffs … so we reduced ticket prices to just $5.00,” said Dragons
president Robert Murphy. “Dragons fans have been the absolute
best in the country for 14 consecutive baseball seasons; and we hope
this is the year fans are rewarded with a Midwest League
championship. We want to make sure as many fans have the chance
to see these playoff games.”
If the team qualifies for the postseason – the Dragons trail Great
Lakes by two and a half games with seven games to play – the first home
playoff game at Fifth Third Field would be held on Wednesday, September
4 at 7:00 p.m. The opponent for the Dragons has yet to be
determined, but will be either the South Bend Silver Hawks (Arizona
Diamondbacks) or the Fort Wayne Tin Caps (San Diego Padres).
Playoff tickets for the first game will be available at the Dragons Box
Office (hours are 10am to 5pm), by phoning the Dragons at(937)
228-2287, or online at daytondragons.com. If the Dragons fail to
qualify for the playoffs, fans who purchased playoff tickets will
receive a full refund.
The Dragons are making a push to return to the playoffs for the first
time since 2011. In the second half, which began on June 20, Dayton has
charged into the playoff race with great success at Fifth Third field.
The Dragon are 15-5 in their last 20 home games.
