Versailles
girls golf takes second in their own invitational
VERSAILLES — Versailles finished as the runner up to Tippecanoe in its
Versailles Lady Tiger Tee Invitational Thursday at Stillwater Valley
Golf Club.
Tippecanoe won the tournament by shooting a 355. Versailles’ A team
finished eight strokes back with a 363.
Fort Loramie placed third with a 371, Troy placed fourth with a 375,
Indian Lake placed fifth with a 411, St. Henry placed sixth with a 413,
Russia placed seventh with a 418, New Bremen placed eighth with a 424,
Bellefontaine placed ninth with a 429, Versailles B placed 10th with a
445, Graham placed 11th with a 448, Marion Local placed 12th with a
508, and Covington placed 13th with a 524. Ben Logan and Tri-Village
competed but didn’t post team scores.
Brooke Wehrkamp led Versailles’ A team by shooting an 85 for the
18-hole round to finish fourth overall. Hannah Niekamp placed ninth
overall with an 89, and Elizabeth White placed 11th with a 90. Also for
the Lady Tigers, Emily Harman shot a 99, Madison Covault shot a 108,
and Katie Heckman shot a 119.
For Versailles’ B team, Lauren Heitkamp led the Lady Tigers with a 104.
Also for Versailles B, Kaitlyn Middendorf shot a 110, Danielle Poor
shot a 114, Morgan Middendorf shot a 117, and Shelby Winner shot a 151.
For Tri-Village Kina Hill shot a 145, and Meghan Brandon shot a 149.
