NJCAA Player of the Week
For
the first time in the athletic department’s
history, one of Edison’s student-athletes was awarded the Player of the
Week
for the NJCAA. Kendra Brunswick continued a fantastic sophomore
campaign that
has her as conference's leading scorer (25.5 ppg) in OCCAC play.
The
sophomore forward shot a sizzling 24-for-35
from the field overall, 5-for-7 from 3-point range and 5-for-6 from the
foul
line in two wins.
In
a 76-68 home victory over Owens Community
College, Brunswick had 23 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two
steals.
Then, in a 95-35 road win over Lakeland Community College, she poured
in 35
points and added nine rebounds, seven steals and five assists in only
27
minutes.
In
those two games, she totaled 58 points, 22
rebounds, nine steals and 10 assists.
