The Tri-Village Lady Patriots were the only team in the county to be
seeded first in their sectional
while Versailles was a three seed. All
county schools will kick things into gear when the opening
round of
sectional action begins. All county games will be broadcast on WTGR,
97.5 on wtgr.com.

Girl’s hoops sectional draw set

DARKE COUNTY- Super Bowl Sunday was set for more than just football as
the OHSAA girls basketball tournament draw took place at various sites
in the area.
Action will get underway on Saturday, February 16 at Brookville.
In opening round D-IV action, the Bradford Lady Railroaders will take
on Covington. The Roaders were seeded seventh while the Buccs were
seeded second. That game has a 12:30 tip time at Brookville.
Later that Saturday, at Brookville, top seeded Tri-Village will do
battle with the Jefferson Broncos. The scheduled tip is set for 3:30.
On Tuesday, Feb 19, at Brookville, Franklin Monroe will play the winner
of the Southeastern/Twin Valley South game played from the previous
Saturday, starting at 6 p.m.
The second game on that night will see Mississinawa Valley playing the
winner of the Covington/Bradford contest from Saturday, with the
starting time set for 7:30 p.m.
In the D-IV Sidney bracket, the Ansonia Tigers will get the winner of
the game played between Ft. Loramie/Riverside contest. Loramie is the
top seed in that sectional.
On Thursday, Feb. 14, at Tipp City High School, the Versailles Lady
Tigers, D-III, seeded third, will play West Liberty Salem at 7:30 p.m.
Arcanum will play the the winner of the V-Tigers and the WLS Tigers on
February 20, starting at 7:30 p.m.
In the D-II sectional at Tecumseh High School, the Greenville Lady Wave
took a first round bye and will play the winner of the Kenton
Ridge/Northeastern game. Greenville will pay at 6 p.m.
The boys sectional draw will take place this coming Sunday.
