Patriots stop
Panthers in CCC contest
NEW MADISON- it was a game that was never in doubt Friday at The
Battleground.
Tri-Village put five players in double figures as the Patriots rolled
over Tri-County North, 90-31.
The Patriots never trailed, leading 19-9, 45-16 and 74-25 at the breaks
T-V will see action again Tuesday when the Patriots host Troy Christian.
Versailles remains
undefeated
VERSAILLES- The Versailles Tigers went to 7-0 on the season Friday,
taking Parkway out, 60-33.
The Tigers set the tone early on defense, starting the game with a
block party, knocking down the first five shots the Panthers took.
The Versailles offense was sluggish in the beginning but ended with
three Tigers in double figures, led by Chad Winner’s 23 points to lead
all scorers. Kyle Aharns chipped in 13 and Damien Richard added 11 in
support.
Versailles, now 7-0, 3-0 (MAC), will play at St. Henry Friday in a
crucial conference contest that could very easily decide the conference.
Greenville notches
first win
ARCANUM- After starting the seaon 0-9 and coming off a nail biting loss
Friday to Piqua, the Greenville boys got their first win of the season,
topping Arcanum 42-39.
Greenville, now 1-9, will play at Vandalia-Butler Tuesday.
Lady Wave gets
victory
GREENVILLE- On a day when the Greenville Lady Wave faced a much needed
victory, Greenville found itself coming out with a hard fought 53-44
victory over GWOC rival, Trotwood Madison.
The Lady Wave will see action again at home on Wednesday when they host
Piqua.
Lady Trojans get
back on winning side
ARCANUM- After a disappointing loss Thursday against Franklin Monroe,
the Arcanum Lady Trojans rebounded Saturday, getting a tough 45-37
victory over Ansonia.
Arcanum was led by freshman Rebecca Deao with 11 and senior Morgan Buck
with 10 in support.
The Tigers had Katey Fischer with 20 to lead all in scoring.
Ansonia will play at National Trail on Thursday while the Trojans will
host Mississinawa Valley on that same night. Both games are Cross
County Conference games.
In one other game of interest, the Franklin Monroe Jets rolled past
visiting Bradford, 76- 36
