Lady Wave stop
Butler
GREENVILLE-The Greenville Lady Wave continued their improvement on the
2012-13 season Wednesday with a 51-23 victory over the Butler Aviators.
Trailing by a point heading into the break, the Wave blitzed Butler
33-4 in the second half as the Greenville defense shined.
Greenville senior Megan Galloway paced the winning Wave with 18 points
while Haley Luce added 11 in support.
With the win, Greenville goes to 7-7 on the season and is now 3-1 in
the GWOC North division.
The Wave will play at Sidney on Saturday in a crucial GWOC battle.
FM boys stop South
Panthers
PITSBURG- Despite getting off to a slow start, the Franklin Monroe Jets
were able to pull out a 45-40 victory over Twin Valley South Tuesday.
South led by as much as a 16-4 count in the second quarter but FM
rallied to close the gap to 23-22 at the half.
The Jets scored the first six points of the second half, taking a 28-23
advantage. South did gain a tie at 31-31 but would never get a lead
again. Travis Feitshans had 10 ponts for the Jets while Devon Fourman
chipped in with ten.
Franklin Monroe will play at Tri-County North tonight.
