softball and track will headline the start of the spring sports season
starting Saturday.
One boys baseball game will be on the slate as well as Greenville
visits Tri-County North, weather permitting.

DARKE COUNTY- Now that basketball season is over and the winter sports
season is officially over, it's time to move it all back outside again.
Saturday, spring sports will get into gear with a solid slate of
softball and track with four baseball games.
In baseball, Greenville will be traveling to Stebbins and a date with
the Indians.
The Wave had a great season a year ago and was looking to make a solid
run in the post season before it was revealed that the team had used an
ineligible player.
Greenville will look to right its ship Saturday starting at 11 a.m.
Stebbins is a member of the Central Buckeye Conference.
In other baseball action, Franklin Monroe will host Bethel in a twin
bill with Arcanum going to Miamisburg with both teams starting at noon.
Tri-Village will go to Houston to take on the Wildcats. The starting
times have not been announced.
Also Saturday, the Lady Wave will get their 2013 softball schedule
underway with a doubleheader at Lady Wave Stadium (Stebbins Field) with
Huber Heights Wayne and Milton-Union.
Greenville will look to make another charge at a state title after
bringing home the state silver last year.
Also Saturday, Ansonia with go to Preble Shawnee, Miamisburg will visit
Arcanum, Franklin Monroe will visit Troy Christian while Tri-Village
will be playing in sunny Florida.
Locally, all games will start at 11 a.m. and will be played as the
weather permits.
In track, the annual Lady Tiger Classic will be contested with Ansonia,
Arcanum, Franklin Monroe and Greenville all heading to Versailles.
Field events are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
Spring schedules for Bradford and Mississinawa Valley have not been
posted.
