releases 2014 stock car specifications
Division to Again Join Marquee Eldora Events in Upcoming Season
ROSSBURG, OH (November 11) – Eldora Speedway officials have released
specifications for the Stock Car division that will be included in a
multitude of 2014 events at the historic speed plant. Closely mirroring the specs from previous years, minor changes were
implemented; none of which will make 2013 compliant cars
outdated. With the adjustments, the guidelines conform to those
of nearby Limaland Motorsports Park.
Among the adjustments is a move to include the 2014 UMP DIRTcar
Modified spec tire as an option along with the current D.O.T. tire
rule.
Wording to fine-tune some suspension and transmission components was
also added, along with listing head and neck restraints as recommended
safety items.
Barney Craig is the defending champion of Eldora’s Stock Car
division. As in previous years, the Stock Car sector will
share billing with such marquee events as the spring World of Outlaws
Sprint Car weekend, the Johnny Appleseed Classic, Ohio Sprint
Speedweek, and the Baltes Classic, among others.
