Editor’s Note: It was reported by swdab.org that the Mississinawa
Valley Lady Blackhawks had advanced to the second round of sectionals
play Saturday against Twin Valley South. The swdab.org website is the
official website of the Southwest District Athletic Board. Review of
other sources is indicating the match was a loss by the Blackhawks. I
apologize for any confusion.
Jets flame out
while Ansonia and MV advance

TROY- With three teams in action Saturday, the picture became a little
clearer in the Troy sectional.
In the opener, Franklin Monroe put op a battle with Newton but in the
end, the Indians prevailed, 25-20, 25-17 and 25-19.
The loss ended the Jets season at 8-14.
Ansonia will advance to the second round to face a tough Ft. Loramie
team.
The Redskins popped Bethel in three, 27-7, 25-7 and 25-8 before the
Tigers took on Troy Christian.
Ansonia was able to clip the Eagles wings in four sets, 25-15, 7-25,
25-10 and 25-18.
Ft. Loramie and Ansonia will hook up Tuesday at Troy in a 7:30
scheduled start.
Also at Troy, Mississinawa Valley eliminated Twin Valley South in four,
25-21, 19-25, 25-18 and 25-23.
On Wednesday, Bradford will get the party started wit a 6 pm start
against Jackson Center. Mississinawa Valley will meet Southeastern 20
minutes after the conclusion of the Bradford contest.
In the D-III Brookville sectional, Brookville defeated National Trail,
25-17, 25-15, 25-21, Miami East defeated West Liberty Salem, 17-25,
25-16, 21-25, 25-20, 15-10 and Milton Union defeated Northridge,
25-10, 25-6, 25-17
