OHSAA Announces
Strategic Partnership with StatzHub
Partnership Projects to Generate Significant Dollars for Member Schools
through Innovative Technology Platform while Promoting Teams and
Athletes
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) has
announced a formal partnership with StatzHub, a Cincinnati-based
digital technology company that offers subscriptions to their original
and aggregated sports content.
“The partnership with StatzHub aligns well with the mission of the
OHSAA to promote the values of participation in interscholastic
athletics as an integral part of a student’s educational experience,”
said Daniel B. Ross, Ph.D., OHSAA Commissioner.
Statzhub allows subscribers to customize their sports content according
to their favorite teams and athletes through online delivery and mobile
phone application. “What makes StatzHub unique is that in addition to
allowing our subscribers to follow the teams and athletes from the pros
to all levels of college, we are committed to producing and delivering
content for high schools sports to allow passionate fans the ability to
track news, stories and statistics,” states George Thurner, president
and founder of StatzHub. “With over 820 schools and 360,000 students
participating in high school sports programs in the state of Ohio, we
are trying to fill the need of family, friends and alumni to keep them
updated on their favorite high school teams and athletes.”
Beyond producing and distributing high school sports content, StatzHub
has committed to share a large portion of subscription revenues with
OHSAA and member schools. Individual subscribers can select from a list
of affiliated schools to designate as the beneficiary of their
subscription. Additionally, StatzHub coordinates with schools to
produce high school content by hiring student reporters.
“On several levels the association with StatzHub is a perfect fit for
the OHSAA,” Dr. Ross said. “StatzHub integrates athletics and academics
through the student reporters, it highlights and promotes high school
sports and provides much needed funds to our programs.”
The OHSAA and StatzHub will formally launch the partnership at the
state high school basketball championships in March. The girls finals
will be held March 10-12 and the boys finals will be from March
17-19. Both events will be conducted at Value City Arena inside
the Jerome Schottenstein Center at The Ohio State University.

About StatzHub
The inspiration for Statzhub came from a dad who wanted to follow his
daughter playing college lacrosse. What should have been a simple
search proved to be complex and time consuming as he had to gather
information from over thirteen different sites to find all of the
content on his daughter. After assembling all of this content and
spending hours compiling those stats and content to help her see how
she stacked up against other athletes in her sport (1v1 feature), he
realized how beneficial gathering all of this content by athlete or
team would be to any fan. And the idea for Statzhub was formulated.
