Varsity Bowlers Roll to 5-1
The Versailles Varsity Bowlers improved their record to 5-1 with a good
win against St. Marys and Ansonia on Saturday, January 3rd at Astro
Lanes in Wapakoneta.
They defeated St. Marys after being down by 35 pins after game 1. The
final score was Versailles 2338 to St. Marys 2242. Leading scorers for
the Tigers were Zach Marshal 234, Kyle Cotner 223 and Alex Groff with a
213. Kyle led the team with a 2 game total of 422.
The 2nd match was against the Ansonia Tigers. The match was dominated
by Versailles, 2324-1627. Leading scorers were Zach Marshal 279
and Michael Hemmelgarn 232-208. Zach Marshal led the team with a 2 game
series of 469.
There was an error in last weeks paper showing Michael Hemmelgarn as
the leading Tiger bowler. It was Senior, Kenny Nagel
The Tigers will be facing Wapakoneta this Saturday Parkway on Monday
for a make up match. All results and standings can be found at

Wapakoneta team.
