Boys Bowling Team Looking Striving For A Great Year
The Tigers are looking forward to another great season under new head
coach Tyler Phlipot. The boys went to the State tournament the last two
years and the goals are set high again for this season. There are 10
boys bowling this year with 5 to dress Varsity and the rest JV. They
all have been working hard in practice getting ready for the season.
Michael Hemmelgarn is the lone senior for the boys’ team this year and
he is expected to be a strong asset to the team. Alex Groff, Kyle
Cotner, Brody Hyre, Jacob Weining, and Aydan Moran are representing the
junior class this season. There are 2 sophomores including Luke
Shellhaas and Brandon Bradley. Finally, Quayd Pearson and Bretten
Cheadle are the 2 freshman bowling for the Tigers.
This season the conference will be tough with Coldwater being state
champions and Wapakoneta state runner‐ups last year. “If the boys
continue to work hard and stay dedicated they definitely can make
another trip to Columbus this year,” said Coach Phlipot.
Lady Bowlers Look For A Successful Season
The Tiger Girls Bowlers are hard at work looking forward to another
successful season in 2015‐16. “Team goals are set high again this year
with plans to win the conference and head to the state tournament,”
said Coach Phlipot. There are 16 girls on the bowling team this year, 8
will dress Varsity and the rest on JV. All of the girls have
worked hard in practice and are ready for the season. Hannah Niekamp is
returning for her 4th year of varsity and as always great things are
expected from her. She will be a voice of experience and a strong
leader. She is one of 3 seniors this year with Olivia Breuning and
Crystal Hartzel. The seniors are expected to lead and encourage team
unity and focus.
Underclassmen bowlers include: Maggie Hedrick (11), Brigette Holsapple
(11), Brooke Condon (11), Jamee Brown (11), Makenzie Berning (10),
Natalie Parin (10), Morgan Heitkamp (9), Morgan Barlage (9), Haddi
Treon (9), Payton Bulcher (9), Jena Mangen (9), Larissa Jones (9), and

WOHBC Conference competition remains strong this year. St Marys,
Coldwater and Wapakoneta are teams to take seriously. Coldwater
is bringing back all members of their state championship team from
2014‐15. There are many fresh faces this year on the Lady Tigers team
but they are working hard and committed to having another great season
this year.
