Fort Recovery High School Football Team
Columbus—Today, State Representative Jim Buchy (R-Greenville) presented
a resolution to the Fort Recovery High School football team honoring
them as the 2015 Division VII State Champion.
“This state championship is really special as the first of many
football state championships to come in Fort Recovery,” Buchy said.
“The young men presented themselves as true champions before the
legislature and represented the best aspects of what makes western Ohio
the best place in the world to live work and rear a family.”
The Fort Recovery Indians defeated Perenial Power Mogadore with a score
of 33 to 14 in the Division VII Championship game at Ohio Stadium. This
was the Indians first time playing in a championship game and they
finished the season with a record of 13-2.
The Fort Recovery High School football team was present, along with
Coach Niekamp, to receive the resolution during the Ohio House session.
