Columbus—State Representative Jim Buchy (R-Greenville) presented a
resolution to the Jackson Center High School girls volleyball team for
winning the 2015 Division IV State Championship and to Drew Sosby for
being named the 2016 All-Ohio Division IV Tri-Player of the Year in
boys basketball at today’s Ohio House Session.
“Jackson Center has had a great year in athletics and academics and it
was an honor to host the State Champion volleyball team and Drew Sosby
who is boys basketball tri-player of the year,” Buchy said. “This
example is all part in parcel of what makes western Ohio the best place
in the world to live, work, and rear a family.”
The Jackson Center Tigers defeated Tuscarawas Central Catholic in the
Division IV Championship volleyball game at Wright State’s Nutter
Center, earning their first ever state volleyball title. The team won
all three sets in the championship game with set scores of 25-14,
25-15, and 25-9.
Additionally, Drew Sosby was named tri-player of the year and was first

Sosby has scored over 1,200 career points, while averaging 19.5 points
and 3.5 assists.
The Jackson Center High School girls volleyball team was present, along
