Nisonger starts
fair off with a bang

GREENVILLE- Greenville’s own, Jeff Nisonger, picked up right where he
left off a year ago.
Nisonger, who is notorious for making the Darke County Fair his own,
got the 2016 fair off with a bang Friday, scoring four wins in the
opening harness race session.
Nisonger lit things up right off the bat in the very first race of the
nine day fair.
Starting in the fourth position behind Myell’s Rockstar, Nisonger drove
the three year old home in a time of 1:58, edging out Crosswinds Dodger
at the line with Big Bad Blue coming in third.
After a second place finish in the second with K R’s Cruiser, Nisonger
came back in the third. Driving Dancing Lisa, a two year old Filly, to
the win in the one mile pace in 2:03.1.
His third win of the day came in the sixth when he hit pay dirt with
World of Gaming. The three year old colt popped a one mile time of 1:58.
Nisonger’s final win of the day came in the eighth behind Only Live
Once, a two year old filly, in a time of 2:01.1.
Racing action resumed on Saturday as Nisonger and Christopher Hope both
scored big wins.
