Student Athletes at Statehouse
COLUMBUS - Senate President Keith Faber (R-Celina) today honored the
following student athletes from the 12th Senate district on the floor
of the Ohio Senate:
Emily Sreenan, a junior at Lima Central Catholic, as the 2016 Division
III Girls Cross Country State Champion, coached by Mike Griffo. She
also set a new personal best at the championship meet.
The Minster High School girls cross country team, coached by Jessie
Magoto, for winning the 2016 Division III Girls State Championship,
their program's 10th state championship.
The Fort Loramie High School boys cross country team, coached by Dennis
Prenger, for winning the 2016 Division III Boys State Championship,
their first OHSAA state championship.
"It's my honor to celebrate these athletes and their coaches here at
the Statehouse," said Faber. "They are champions in their sport and
leaders in their classrooms, and we are proud of their hard work and
determination."
