“I’m looking for new clients… anybody need a website?”
Some of my distinct pleasures as an “old guy” are the opportunities
I’ve had to meet and get to know Darke County youth… I’ve written about
many of them. Each is different and brings his or her own unique
personality into the equation.
I met Daniel a few years ago when he came to the Eagles with his dad… a
smart kid, and a smart-aleck kid. But immensely likeable.
I discovered early… don’t get into a “quip” contest with him; he’ll
sweep up the floor with you.
At the same time that he showed his “all-boy-teenager” side, I saw many
“grown up” sides. For instance, I don’t know many teenagers who would
sit through Darke County Commissioners meetings “on a whim.” Daniel
did. Not once, but several times when I was running for commissioner.
Daniel’s a junior at Ansonia High School. He’s active in FFA, and we
talked many times about his experiences on Ansonia’s golf team. I
didn’t realize, however, that he was a talented graphic designer who
loves web and graphic design. His work ranges from “edgy” to creative,
but traditional, flyers and brochures that he’s produced for the
Eagles, and interactive websites for businesses.
He plans to attend Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. His major?
Web design and development, of course.
So am I promoting this young entrepreneur? You bet! Check out his
contact information at http://danielfitz.com (the site is under
reconstruction, but you can email him or go to his facebook page from
there). Let him know what you want and see what he comes up with. He’ll
also be happy to show you samples of his work.
