An
active summer for Christ
Prayer team for
revivals in our schools
By Kalista King
It’s official; school’s out and it’s summertime! Around this time is
usually when youth groups, school clubs, (such as F2F), and other
Christian events come to a close. However, I am pleased to say that
this summer will be thriving with activity for the youth in Darke
County who wish to get plugged into places and events which will help
them grow in their faith.
As I have mentioned in previous articles, The Corner Shack youth group,
(which is open on Wednesday nights to any student from any high school
who wants to learn about Christ, grow in their faith, or become part of
a body of Believers), has been growing and growing this school year,
and because of this, our leaders have chosen to continue having The
Corner Shack throughout the summer!
Also, Saturday Night Prayer will continue throughout the summer for
those who wish to go deeper in their walks with Christ, and grow even
closer to Him. There will also be different events hosted through F2F
which will take place throughout the summer as well. I cannot go too
far into detail on these events yet because some of them must be
thought out more before we promote them. However, I can assure you that
this summer is going to be one that the teens in Darke County won’t be
able to forget!
As God prepares us for next school year, I firmly believe that many
teens in Darke County will see the revival which is taking place, and
will want to be a part in it. There is nothing greater than seeing
teens, one by one, decide to partake in this revival of our generation!
Hopefully next Sunday I can give you more information on upcoming
events for our youth this summer, but one event that I will share now
is an event that we have been talking about for a while. People from
The Corner Shack, F2F, Youth for Christ, and any others who wish to
attend are going to be putting a prayer team together consisting of
teens and adults to go to different schools in the Darke County area
and pray for revival in each individual school. We plan on doing this
at multiple schools in the Darke County area throughout the summer, and
have faith that our prayers will be answered.
There’s no denying that something is happening in the population of our
youth in Darke County, and I believe that it will become more and more
evident throughout this summer, and even into next school year. This
revival has gotten too big to stop now, and as we continue to pray for
it to grow even more, I know that God will allow it to do just that.
