It's that Time Again, Chrysalis is Back!

It's that time again for another West Ohio Girls' Chrysalis Flight in Piqua, Ohio. In a previous article, I shared about "The Chrysalis Experience" and why it is such an important weekend. For those who have not read or heard about Chrysalis, it is the youth version of an "Emmaus walk." Emmaus and Chrysalis are trips for anyone who is ready to get to know the Lord and get to know Him in a much deeper way over the course of a three-day weekend. 

Anyone who has been on a past Emmaus walk or Chrysalis flight can sponsor those who wish to experience one of these trips for themselves. I get the opportunity to sponsor a girl named Alexis Minnich this weekend and I also know of four others from Darke County named, Becca Riffle, Hannah Bocanegra, Leana Meade, and Madison Kiser who will be getting the Chrysalis experience as well. These girls, along with many others from all over Ohio, will spend the weekend basking in God's love and grace in ways they never have before. 

The purpose of this article is to inform you of this retreat and ask that you please lift these girls up in prayer while they are on their flight. When they arrive at the church in Piqua, they will be referred to as, "caterpillars." However, over the course of the weekend, they will learn how to hatch out of their cocoons and become beautiful "butterflies." From then on, they will be referred to as "butterflies" by their fellow Chrysalis family and Emmaus members.  

Each girl who is going to Chrysalis this weekend is going to have their own personal experiences, break-throughs, and encounters with God, most of which will leave them marveling at the awesome love and power of our Heavenly Father. I look forward to giving you all an opportunity to hear from at least one of these girls about what their weekend meant to them, but until then, please join with me in saying this prayer… 

"Lord, you have called each and every individual girl to Chrysalis this weekend for a specific purpose. As You reveal Yourself to them in new and exciting ways, give them eyes to see and ears to hear You while they are there. Please transform them into the beautiful butterflies You have designed them to be so when they set out on their journey with You after this experience, others can see their transformation and praise You. Thank you for what You have already done in their hearts and for what You have yet to do. Love on them, speak to their hearts, and change their lives this weekend. Amen." 

Thank you very much for your prayers and support. Two years ago, I got to experience what these girls will be experiencing this weekend, and I can honestly say that this trip is life-changing. So again, please continue to pray for them and thank the Lord for what He already has planned! Have a blessed week, friends!
