Teen Revival
Revival is knocking at our door
By Kalista King

As I pondered what to write about for this week’s article, it occurred to me that I have not updated any of you about our local drama team that evolved last year around this time. I've mentioned the drama team in several past articles, but have not done much follow-up with you on it.

This team came about through EUM's youth group, The Corner Shack, when a few teens put a skit together for the youth group one Wednesday night. After this, teens from all kinds of different schools, towns, youth groups, churches, and ministries joined in with this skit and decided to perform it at Greenville High School and Tri Village High School's talent shows.

After these performances, people from all over Darke County began asking our drama team to perform at their churches and/or youth events because the skit we were doing, (titled, "Set Me Free by Casting Crowns,") was so incredibly powerful. It was truly a gift from God to even have this drama team and especially all the opportunities we were given to share our faith with others through the skit.

God took this drama way further than we ever expected and we believe He is not yet finished with the team. We are currently praying and asking The Lord where He is wanting to take us next. Because God has blessed this group of teens so much, we do not want to go anywhere without His guidance. We will not move until He tells us too, so as of now, we are just seeking His council on this entire situation.

The idea has come up about forming an entire "outreach team," which could involve not only skits, but also songs, testimonies, and whatever else God incorporates into it. We would like to travel to different places all over Darke County and possibly even beyond, because this is something that God has really laid on our hearts lately and we want to do whatever we can to serve Him!

My point in telling you this is so that you too, can pray with us on this matter and ask The Lord to give us wisdom on what step we need to take to get this outreach team going.

This weekend, many of the teenagers from our local Saturday Night Prayer ministry are visiting some teens from Lima, Ohio who are involved in the Teens for Christ's ministry team there. I have seen them perform many times and have finally gotten the opportunity to bring other teens with me to connect with those on TFC's ministry team.

I think it is very important to connect with other believers who are as sold out for Christ as it gets because this fellowship can ignite a fire in peoples' hearts like never before. My hope for this trip, is that the teens who are going will be filled with the love of Christ and hopefully ideas of how we can bring that love home with us and spread it all over Darke County. I believe God is at work here. I have seen Him move very mightily throughout Darke County and as He continues to unify believers, The Body of Christ is going to grow more than it ever has before. Revival is knocking at our door, friends. Thank you for your prayers and support! God bless.
