Brian Michael Pearson, age 49, of Versailles passed away at 2:40 pm Sunday, August 31, 2025, in the ER at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.
Brian was born July 13, 1976, in Greenville to the late Michael & Rosanna “Rosie” Pearson. In addition to his parents, Brian was also preceded in death by his godfather, Ken Bergman.
Brian is survived by his girlfriend, Crystal Buteau, and her sons, Dylan and Noah; brother & sister-in-law, Adam & Kim Pearson, and their family, Vera, Vince and Annie; sister & brother-in-law, Mindy & Sanchez McCutchins, and their family, Bailey, Blaire and Brinley; godmother, Karen Luthman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Brian was a 1995 graduate of Versailles High School. He was an engineer at Custom Foam Products Inc. in Fort Loramie and owned and operated 937 Tillman LLC. Brian was Chief of Versailles Fire & EMS with 27 years of service. He served as President of Heritage Park Board in Versailles and 2015 Chairman of Versailles Poultry Days. Brian was a member of the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association, TASKS, Inc., and the Versailles Alumni Association. Brian enjoyed hunting and boating.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Oakland Church of the Brethren 8058 Horatio-Harris Creek Rd. Bradford with Pastor/FD Chaplain David Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Station 19 Firefighters or Heritage Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
