Rodney Lee Emrick, age 54, of Greenville passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio.
Rodney was born April 12, 1971 in Greenville, Ohio, the son of Richard Lee Emrick and Joann (Lutz) Emrick. He worked for 14 years at Faurecia USA. Rodney was a graduate of Franklin Monroe High School in the class of 1989. He loved NASCAR and playing video games. Rodney was a dedicated Ohio State fan. He was known to be generous, sweet and kindhearted. Rodney was also a frequent attendee at EUM church.
Rodney is preceded in death by his mother, Joann Emrick. He is also preceded in death by his girlfriend, Elizabeth Sloan.
Rodney is survived by his loving father Richard Lee Emrick. He is survived by his sister Jodi Mathews of Bentonville, IN. Rodney leaves behind his niece and nephew, Brittany Harris of New Madison, OH, and Zachary (Renee) Mathews of Rawlins, WY. Rodney is also survived by his aunts Linda and Barbara of Knoxville, TN. He survived by his uncle Kenneth of Greenville and seven great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Rodney’s life will be held on Friday September 12, 2025 at 2:00PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Dennis Shipley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Friday at the funeral home. A burial will be held at a later date at the family’s discretion. Memorial contributions may be made to Everheart Hospice.
