The Darke County Animal Shelter has 3 new dogs waiting for their fur-ever homes.
All dogs were given Bordatella, parvo/lepto/distemper vaccines, are dewormed and are heartworm negative. All dogs are microchipped.
The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville OH. 45331. The visiting hours are Monday- Friday 8am- 11:45am and 1pm- 4pm. You can reach the Shelter at 937-547-1645.
Meet the Handsome Chewie! We believe Chewie is a 4-year-old intact male Shiba Inu mix who came to us as a stray, so while we do not know much about his past. Chewie already knows how to sit, loves to play ball and enjoys spending time outside. Chewie does not seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and walk well on a leash. Chewie did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighed in at 21 lbs.Let’s Give a Warm Welcome to Emmit! Emmit came to us as a stray, so while we don’t know much about his past, we’ve learned a lot about this sweet soul during his time here at the shelter. We believe Emmit is a 1-year-old intact male Terrier mix. Emmit is a sweet boy who is a little shy at first but warms up with a little time and patience. He already knows how to sit. He’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Emmit is looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and part of the family. If you’re ready to open your heart to a dog who just wants to be loved, Emmit is waiting to meet you. Emmit did great for exam where he weighs in at 62 lbs.Say Hello to Jeff! We Believe Jeff is a 1 1/2-year-old intact male Terrier mix who came to us as a stray, so while his past is a mystery, we have been getting to know his sweet personality here at the shelter. Jeff enjoys soaking up the sunshine, and is always up for some quality time outdoors. He’s currently working on his leash-walking skills and is making good progress. Jeff doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Jeff is looking for a loving home where he can continue to learn, grow, and be your loyal companion. Jeff did great for his exam where he weighs in at 44 lbs.
