
Simpkins, Daniel “Dan” A., age 71, of Greenville, OH, died peacefully surrounded by his family on September 19, 2025, at EverHeart Hospice in Greenville, OH. He was born on June 11, 1954, and was raised in Arcanum. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Ezra & Wanda (Taulbee) Simpkins. He is survived by a daughter, Valerie (Kenny) Kincy of Avon, IN; grandchildren, Koren, Kenley and Kade; and great-grandchildren, Adaline, Emersyn and Layla. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy (Greg) Klarer of Huber Heights; and niece and nephew, Kacie Klarer (Tim DeWitt), Jake (Katie) Klarer and children, Clayton and Grace Klarer. Nothing made Dan happier than driving his car and attending a car show. An avid gun collector, Dan enjoyed working at the Gun Barn at Rural King in Greenville for eight years. Dan was a sports fan as well as cheering on his beloved Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns. Dan retired from Union City Body Company after serving for 18 years. Services will be held at Kreitzer Funeral Home, with visitation on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 1 – 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Pastor Dan Kuhbander will be officiating.
