
The DTWC is the season-finale for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), and for 2025 it returned to Eldora -the BIG E- for the third straight season.
The 2025 DTWC weekend brought car counts, big purses and a stacked field of the best late-model drivers in the U.S.
The weekend kicked off with on Thursday, October 16 with qualifying, heats and B-Features of the Modifieds and Super Stocks qualifying heats and A-feture. Jeremy Creech won his heat and then also the A-feature, starting from position 2. Nick Bowers and Ernie Woodard completed the TOP 3.

Friday, October 17 featured the heat races and preliminary rounds to set the feature lineup for the 100-lap finale of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, the qualifying, heat races and B-features of the Steel Blocks and the A-Feature of the Modifieds. Charlie Mefford crossed the finish line first and grabbed his first Eldora win, starting from 10th position! Adam Stricker and Mike Marlar completed the TOP 3

The headline 100-lap feature for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series took place Saturday, October 18. The purse paid $100,000 to the winner. The “Smooth Operator” Bobby Pierce, who started from position 13 won this important race and the Championship. He led 44 of 100 laps; ended a 15-race winless streak, the longest drought of his career. Chris Madden and Brandon Sheppard completed the TOP 3.
Additional notable finishes:
- Mike Marlar finished 6th.
- Tim McCreadie, who started further back, rallied to finish 7th.
- Ricky Thornton Jr. finished 18th after contact on Lap 61.
- Jonathan Davenport, after a strong season, finished 14th.
Nine cautions slowed the 100-lap affair, including a Lap 61 incident that collected Thornton and Davenport.
In the A-Feature of the Steel Block Late Models Josh Rice was victorious, Tyler Carpenter finished second and Russell Erwin third.
