On October 24, 2025, Officers from the Greenville Police Department executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Washington Avenue. This was in reference to an investigation regarding a subject illegally being in possession of a firearm. During the investigation, a firearm and suspected narcotics were discovered. Alexander Bryant was arrested and charged with having weapons while under disability a felony of the third degree and incarcerated at the Darke County jail.
The incident remains under investigation. Chief Benge encourages citizens to call when they observe activity that appears to be suspicious as it could lead to similar investigations to make our community safer.
