Ary, Faye, age 87, of Arcanum, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7th, 2025. Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Norman; parents, Doyle and Bessie Shahan; her beloved daughter, Cheryl Ary; brother, Robert Shahan; sisters-in-law, LaMona Shahan and Judy Shahan; brother-in-law, Fred Fonderhide. Faye was active in leadership and service at Abbottsville United Methodist Church. She held numerous positions at Arcanum schools and was well known for her work at the ticket booth for sporting events. In 2016 the OHSAA recognized her for her many years of outstanding service. Her pride and joy in life were her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughters. She is survived by her sons, Rick Ary (Myra) and Dale Ary (Darlene); grandchildren, Derek Ary (Catherine), Nick Ary (Christina) and Danielle Bourne (Joel); her great-granddaughters, Gracie Ary, Makenna Ary and Sadie, Monroe and Aryanna Bourne; siblings, Paul Shahan, Donald Shahan, Janet Shahan, and Sandra (Bill) Kelley; numerous other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the care team at Everhart Hospice. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13th at Abbottsville United Methodist Church with internment to follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
