Capstone Versailles Agriculture Education Student and Business Highlight-Jace Bohman Student and Business-Versailles Feed Mill
Jace Bohman is a senior at Versailles High School and participates in the Agriculture Education Capstone Program and has been selected as the capstone highlight student of the month. The Versailles Agriculture Education Capstone Program is in its 14th year of existence. Jace is the son of Mike Bohman and Janelle Whittaker of Versailles. Capstone is a program that gives Versailles High School Junior and Senior Students that are enrolled in agriculture education an opportunity to gain real world employment experiences and opportunities while in high school.
Since starting in May of 2024, Jace has worked over 1,600 hours. Jace’s primary roles include manufacturing feed, loading, and unloading trucks, operating the forklift, performing housekeeping duties, and maintenance and repair of equipment. He has been quick to learn the inventory tracking, flow and sequencing of our mixers during feed manufacturing when you are dealing with medications and non-medicated feeds, and manages trucks coming in and out during harvest time.
Jeff Marshal, one of the owners of Versailles Feed Mill Inc, is quoted by saying, “Jace has caught on quickly, works well with others, dependable and completes each task at hand. He treats customers with respect and courtesy. He is an asset to the Versailles Feed Mill.”
