Introducing Leo! We believe Leo is a 1-year-old intact male Border Collie Mix who came to us as a stray. While we don’t know much about his past, we’ve loved getting to know this sweet pup here at the shelter. Leo is an affectionate boy who lives for your attention! He’s very food-motivated treats are his love language. Leo has shown us that he knows how to sit and enjoys loves a treat or two. He’s working on his leash-walking skills and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs at the shelter. Leo is full of potential all he needs now is a loving home to help him learn and grow. Leo did great for his exam where he weighed in at 50.5 lbs.***1/2 of Taco Adoption fee has been Sponsored by Reigning Cats & Dogs Pet Grooming*** The Darke County Animal Shelter Staff would like to give a big THANK YOU to Casey Helmer from Reigning Cats & Dogs Pet Grooming for donating her time to groom Taco who came to the shelter severely matted. We thank you so much for helping Taco feel better! Meet Taco a Sweet Soul Looking for Love. We believe Taco is a 10-year-old Schnauzer mix who came to us as a stray. While we don’t know much about his past, what we do know is that Taco came into the shelter severely matted and It doesn’t seem that life hasn’t always been kind to Taco. We don’t believe that Taco can see very well. Taco is a little scared and will need a little time to warm up to new people. He’s calm and clearly just wants someone to love and to be loved in return. Taco is ready to start his next chapter with a family who will show him the kindness he’s always deserved and let him spend his golden years in comfort and peace. Taco weighs in at 12.5 lbs. Say hello to the incredibly sweet girl Tiny! This sweet girl came to us as a stray, so while we’re still learning all about her, we can already tell her something special. Based on our observations, we believe Tiny is a 6-year-old female Papillion mix. Tiny can be a little scared at first but after she warms up to you, she’s a total sweetheart who absolutely adores attention and will soak up all the love you have to give. Tiny has shown us she loves treats. She’s also currently learning to walk nicely on a leash, and she does not seem to mind other dogs here at the shelter. Tiny did great for her exam where she weighed in at 9 lbs.
