On Tuesday, December 17th, members of the Versailles FFA participated in the District 5 Food Science and Technology Contest at Coldwater High School.
The contest required students to identify aromas, conduct a triangle test, take a written test over food quality and safety, identify safety problems from a customer complaint letter, solve math problems, and identify food processing tools.
Versailles FFA placed 1st in the district out of 24 teams and qualified for the state contest.
Team members included Gabe McGlinch who placed 1st overall out of 300 plus individuals, additional team members included: Adam Rauh, Allison Bergman, Eden Barga, Greta Broering, Kacey Borchers, Liam Barga, Patrick McGlinch, Rhylan Broerman, Ruthie Smith, and Simone Greieshop.
The top 4 individuals that will represent Versailles FFA in state include: Gabe McGlinch, Eden Barga, Ruthie Smith and Adam Rauh.
