DARKE COUNTY, OH — The Darke Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is pleased to announce that its 2026 Annual Tree Seedling Sale is now underway. A staple of the local spring season, this sale provides rural and urban landowners with an economical way to improve their landscapes, create windbreaks, and support local wildlife.
This year’s selection features 18 different species native to Ohio, including a variety of hardwoods, evergreens, shrubs and strawberry plants. All seedlings are two- to three-year-old bare-root stock, dipped in a specialized preservative gel to ensure root moisture and health during transport.
This program offers a low-cost source for Darke County residents. Whether you are looking to establish a dedicated wildlife area or simply add beauty to your backyard, these varieties are specifically selected for their popularity and hardiness in the Darke County climate.
