Greenville, OH January 13, 2026 – The Public Relations Committee of the Greenville Business & Professional Women’s Club (BPW) kicked off the new year by hosting the January 7th meeting. Thank you to the Family Health Pharmacy for the use of their lobby at the new location on Meeker Street in Greenville. The committee consisted of Chair Susan Fowble and members Gail Snyder, Julie Hart, Kathy O’Dell, and Leigh Fletcher.
Guest Anita Hemmelgarn spoke about Vicky’s Closet located at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville. Vicky’s Closet is a room filled with adult clothing, hygiene items, children’s clothes and stuffed animals. The items are used for any patient that has been treated in the emergency room that is in need. A group of volunteers from the Wayne Healthcare Employee group maintain the closet. Anita and BPW member Kathy O’Dell volunteer in this group. Lauren Henry, Wayne Healthcare Foundation Director is the director and manager of Vicky’s Closet. The closet was opened in April, 2024 with the help of Lauren receiving a grant from WalMart to purchase items. In the last year they have given out over 400 items to those in need. The Greenville BPW Club’s mission is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education, and information. The Club holds fundraisers through the year to raise money to grant scholarships to the young women of Darke County. They meet the second Thursday of every month for a dinner meeting.
