
Borchers, Jennings, and Tuente named January FFA members of the month.
On the 12th of January, there was a FFA meeting which was run by the assistant officers. With this meeting, members could choose from an assortment of chips and dip and other snacks. Also, there was a card tournament that members competed in. Along with these, there were three Versailles FFA members that were seen as going above and beyond and were selected as Versailles FFA members of the month which included Grace Borchers, Ava Jennings, and Trina Tuente.
Grace Borchers is a senior and five year member of Versailles FFA. Grace has participated in monthly meetings, soup and sandwich social, omelet breakfast, poultry days tent, ag is cool tent, greenhand conference, harvesting wellness, farm day clean-up, fruit sales, and shop and crop. Grace has participated in the floriculture, parliamentary procedure and grain merchandising online CDEs and is a member of the career success committee. Grace’s SAE consists of job placement at Winner’s Meats and a garden. Grace serves as the Darke County Fair Queen and sold over$3000.00 in FFA fruit this season. Grace is the daughter of Charlie and Renae Borchers, and she received a shirt and certificate. Congratulations to Grace Borchers for being named January’s Versailles FFA member of the month.
Ava Jennings is a junior and four year member of Versailles FFA. Ava has participated in monthly meetings, fruit sales, greenhand conference, can food drive, VSCC visits, DIY pine class, canned food drive, and fall harvest sale. Ava has participated in the equine judging and is a member of the community interactions committee, and has been particularly helpful with the canned food drive. Her SAE consists of maintaining a home garden. Ava is the daughter of Dan and Jannelle Oliver and Tony Jennings. Ava also received a shirt and certificate. Congrats to Ava Jennings on being named Versailles month’s FFA member of the month.
Trina Tuente is a sophomore and three year member of Versailles FFA. Trinia has participated in monthly meetings, fruit sales, feed the farmer, and VSCC visits. She has participated in the horse judging and farm business management career development events and is a member of the leadership committee. She has been particularly helpful with the canned food drive and selling over$1000.00 in FFA fruit this season. Her SAE consists of raising quarter horses that she shows at the fair. Trina is the daughter of Terry and Misty Tuente. Trinia received a shirt and certificate. Congratulations to Trinia Tuente for being named January FFA member of the month.
