James E. Cloyd, age 95, of Hollansburg, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026. James was born on June 27, 1930, the son of the late Harold and Bertha (Fletcher) Cloyd.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Cloyd and his sister, Sue Dean.
He is survived by his children, Ed (Pam) Cloyd and Margie (Jim) McLear; his grandchildren, Darci Housman, Dexter (Nancy) Housman, James (Desiree) Board and Shellie Shaw as well as numerous great grandchildren.
James was a 1949 graduate of Palestine High School and will be remembers as a hardworking man who worked as a dairy farmer his whole life.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, 1499 North Broadway with Eric Laux officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in James’ memory to the EverHeart Hospice, 1350 N. Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
