Come and find out what Youth for Christ is up to while enjoying a banquet style dinner, a casual one-hour lunch program or a night of teen talent all free of charge, thanks to generous sponsors.
Thursday, March 26th and Friday, March 27th will mark the 4th annual Be the Story Fundraising events for Youth for Christ of the Miami Valley, which will be held at the Darke DD Birchwood Center, 5844 Jaysville-St Johns Rd, Greenville. There will be three opportunities to hear about the difference this organization is making in the lives of young people in our local communities and how you can get in on the action, if you so choose.
If you have attended Youth for Christ Fundraising banquets in the past, Thursday evening will feel very familiar to you. From 6:30-8 p.m., guests will enjoy a hot buffet style meal provided by Romer’s Catering, and then following dinner, YFC Staff, key partners and students will share about their involvement in Youth for Christ and the impact that has resulted.
This will be the third year that a one-hour lunch program will be available. This program will take place on Friday, March 27th at noon at the Birchwood Center and guests will enjoy a deluxe lunch as the program is presented. This is a great opportunity for those who are looking for a quick, casual opportunity to learn about Youth for Christ and learn about opportunities to be involved. In the past two years, the lunch program has attracted local businesses, organizations, churches, friend groups and individuals who find that this option best fits their schedule and needs.
Friday evening, March 27th, from 7-9 p.m. will be the last of the three Be the Story events. If you’re looking for an enjoyable evening of entertainment and encouragement, grab some of the free snacks and desserts provided and sit at a table with friends for an “Evening of Teen Talent”. Guests will show up to support teens as the teens show off their talents, and following the entertainment, those attending will get a glimpse of the ministry taking place around our counties through Youth for Christ and will learn how they can get involved.
At all of these events, guests will hear from Erin Ayette, Executive Director, about what is happening with today’s young people and how Youth for Christ is currently working to help them. You’ll also learn about how YFC is planning for the future to better meet the needs of pre-teens and teens in our counties. You will be invited to partner with YFC to help make the vision for YFC’s future a reality, as it takes a community to help our youth.
Young people need the support of their community now more than ever before. Join in on one of the three Be the Story events to simply learn more about the difference being made by Youth for Christ and to possibly consider how you might BE a part of THE STORY of young people in your community. If you would like to reserve a table for 6 people or make one or more individual reservations, please contact the Youth for Christ office at 937-548-2477, send an email to: office@yfcmiamivalley.org, or make a reservation on our website at: yfcmv.org/events/bethestory or by scanning the QR code below.
