The Darke County Sheriff’s Office has received several reports of scam calls where the caller claims to be Sheriff Mark Whittaker and threatens arrest or legal action.
This is a scam and an attempt to get you personal and financial information.
Do not respond to these calls or provide any information.
If you ever have a concern about the identity of a deputy who may call you, get their name and call back on 937-548-2020 and ask dispatch to connect you with that deputy.
