Diane R. Holland, a devoted educator and beloved mother of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Hospice Unit in Fulton County, Georgia.
A lifelong learner and educator, Diane earned her undergraduate degree from Wright State University before going on to achieve her Master’s degree from the University of Dayton. Her passion for teaching touched many lives, most notably during her tenure at Arcanum Middle School. Her excellence in the classroom was officially recognized when she was named a Jennings Scholar, an honor reserved for Ohio’s most outstanding public-school teachers.
In addition to her own career, Diane was a true partner in life to her late husband, Howard H Holland. For over five decades, she stood by his side, not only as his wife of 57 years but as a constant support in his various business interests, including Holland Sign Advertising.
Diane is survived by her loving son, Michael Holland and his wife, Marcia, of Dawsonville, Georgia; her cherished granddaughter, Cameron, of Fulton County, Georgia; her brother, John (Betty) Reece; her nephews, Todd Reece, Chad White and Dr. Scott White; and niece, Amy DeRose.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her sister Donna, her parents Kenyon & Barbara Reece.
In keeping with her lifelong commitment to helping others, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Greenville’s Shut-Ins through the Reverent Church’s Senior Shut-In Fund.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2026 to honor Diane’s life at Greenville Union Cemetery, where she will remain alongside her husband.
