From Darke County Foundation and Edison State Community College:
Two scholarships of $2,500 each are available for Darke County residents to pursue a career in law enforcement. Selected recipients will attend the Basic Peace Officer Academy Jan. 4 to June 18, 2022, at Edison State Community College in Piqua. Deadline to apply for the scholarship is Nov. 19, 2021. The program is 750 hours. Recipients are responsible for the remaining cost of approximately $3,300. Additional financial aid may be available. Recipients must be at least 21 years of age by Dec. 18, 2022, and must be a graduate of a Darke County high school or home school. Interviews will be conducted by the Greenville Police Department.
