The Darke County Animal Shelter has 5 new dogs available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.
Leah came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited and what we do know, is only from what we have observed. We believe Leah is a 2-year-old, female Terrier mix. Leah is a very playful girl who just wants someone to give her attention. Leah loves to play, it doesn’t matter if its ball or a rope she is down to play with whatever you have on hand. You can steal Leah’s heart with just a few treats. Leah is leaning how to walks on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dog here at the shelter. Leah did great for her bath, nail trim and exam
Cloe came to us as an owner surrender. We were told that Cleo is a 4-year-old, female Boxer mix. Cleo’s owner said she is great with kids of all ages and cats. Cleo is house broken, and crate trained. Another fun fact we have been told about Cleo is that she loves to go on car and golf cart rides. They also told us that Cleo gets along with most dogs. We would in encourage anyone who is thinking about adopting to bring your dog in to do a meet and greet. Cleo has shown us that she knows how to sit, loves treats and attention. Cleo walks well on the leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dog here at the shelter. Cleo weighs in at 64.6 lbs. and she did well for her bath, nail trim and exam
Chester came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited and what we do know, is only from what we have observed. We believe Chester is a 5-year-old, intact, male Coonhound mix. Chester is a happy go lucky guys who has never met a stranger. Chester loves being outside where he can enjoy the fresh air. Chester is learning how to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dog here at the shelter. Chester is a cuddle bug who loves attention! Chester did great for his exam where he weighs in at 57.6 lbs.
Cali came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own. We were told that Cali is a 4-year-old, female Boxer mix. Cali’s owner said she loves kids of all ages, cats and other dogs. Cali is housebroken, crate trained and loves to go on car and golf cart rides. Cali has shown us that she knows how to sit, loves to chase after the ball, and wants all your attention. Cali is a very sweet girl who will become your best friend with just a few treats or attention. Cali walks well on the leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dog here at the shelter. Cali weighs in at 55 lbs. and she did great for her bath, nail trim and exam
Asia came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited and what we do know, is only from what we have observed. We believe Asia is a 1-year-old, female Dachshund mix. Asia is a fun-loving girl who just wants all the attention you can give. Asia has shown us she knows how to sit and loves treats! Asia walks well on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dog here at the shelter. Asia did great for her nail trim, bath and exam where she weighs in at 18.8 lbs.
