5 new dogs are waiting at the Animal Shelter to be adopted – adoption fee sponsored for some

The Darke County Animal Shelter has 5 new dogs available for adoption.

They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.

The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.

Roxanne came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Roxanne is a 3-year-old female Rottweiler Mix. Roxanne has shown us that she knows how to sit, shake and down. Roxanne is a very sweet girl who is a is not a big fan of the kennel life. Roxanne learning to walk on a leash. Roxanna did great for bath and exam where she weighs in at 100 lbs.

Buddy came to us as an owner surrender. We are told Buddy is 11 months old intact male Great Dane Mix. Buddy is looking for a forever home to give him love & attention! Buddy’s owners told us that Buddy it is great with kids, cats, dogs, chickens, crate trained and still working on housebreaking. Buddy is a very handsome boy who has shown us he knows how to sit, love to play rug-a-war and likes treats. Buddy doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Buddy did great for his bath, nail trim, and exam where he weighs in at 84.2 lbs

Haley came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited and what we do know, is only from what we have observed. We believe Haley is a 2 1/2-year-old, female Terrier Mix. Haley is a very shy girl who going to need time to warm up to new people. Haley is going to need an owner who has patience that will allow her the time to adjust to her new environment and make her feel safe. Haley is learning to walks on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Haley did great for her nail trim and exam where she weighed in at 58.6 lbs.

Bear came to us as an owner surrender. We are told Bear is 1-year-old male Shepherd Mix. Bear’s owner told us that Bear is great with kids of all ages, cats, and dogs. We have been told that Bear loves treats and will take all the attention you want to give him. Bear has shown us he knows sit and loves treats. Bear is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Bear did great for bath and his exam where he weighs in at 68.8 lbs.

Blackie came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Blackie is a 1-year-old, neutered male Collie Mix. Blackie is a little shy at first but does warm up over time. Blackie shown us that he loves treats and really enjoys being outside. Blackie is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Blackie did great for his nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 33.4 lbs.
