Norma L. Byrd, 84 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday October 24, 2022 at 8:20 AM at her residence. Norma was born March 24, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Albert and Gladys (Shepherd) Hite.
Norma worked at Lavy Marathon as an accountant. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Baptist Church; she was a devout Christian and to her church; she was a member of the VFW of Arcanum and Greenville; she loved traveling and especially her grandchildren.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shirley Dillman; and her nephew, David Dillman.
Norma is survived by her husband, Carol Byrd of Greenville; her children, Randall Byrd of Camden, Cathy Quinn of New Madison, Robin Plessinger of Greenville, and Carla Hollinger of Versailles; her step children, Janice Lawson, Patricia Foley, and Lisa Dugger all of Kentucky; her grandchildren, Aaron Byrd, Kasey Widener, Lacy Thobe, Nikki Ricker, Scott Hollinger, Amber Plessinger-Williams, and Heather Brown; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday October 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Hickory Grove United Baptist Church, Hogpath Road, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Fred Baker and Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday October 27, 2022 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
